- Tweed River High School works closely with the Tweed Wollumbin AECG – Aboriginal Education Consultative Group – Teacher & staff involvement, meetings are often held at Tweed River High School.

- Students and teachers connect with the Cherbourg Aboriginal community – to do a comparative case study on the Cherbourg Aboriginal community.
- Students visit Fingal to learn about the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history.
- Commanders Active Citizen Program – 2 x Year 10 students nominated each year.
- Attendance at the WWI Indigenous service in Brisbane.
