Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school event may include:
- school orientation days
- sports carnivals
- open day and school tours
- Harmony Week and Book Week events
- excursions and incursions
- performances, concerts or school productions
- fundraising, charity and community events
- award assemblies
- graduation and other celebrations.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’d like to wish all our students, families, and staff a safe and happy holiday break.
We hope this time brings plenty of rest, fun, and special moments with family and friends.

Welcome back to Tweed River High School! We’ll be excited to start the 2026 school year with all of you.

TRHS: Swimming carnival
Date: Thursday 5th February 2026
Time: 9am start
Where: Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre, Murwillumbah.
Transport: Bus Transport from school departing at 8.20am.
Cost: $5
There will be competitive and non Competitive Events.
Students may utilise private transport, however they will need a parent present to collect child if departing early.
Students are encouraged to wear house colours.
Active and Creative Kids vouchers – a NSW Government initiative
The NSW Government is offering eligible parents and carers two $50 Active and Creative Kids vouchersExternal link per child each year towards the cost of active and creative activities.
Eligibility
- Vouchers are available to families receiving Family Tax BenefitExternal link.
- Vouchers can be used for a range of physical, creative and cultural activitiesExternal link facilitated by registered providersExternal link.
- Eligible families can apply for one voucher per child twice a year.
Each voucher can only be used once. 2 unexpired vouchers can be used together for a combined value of $100.
Please note that NSW public schools are unable to accept Active and Creative Kids vouchers as payment for school events and activities (including weekend and inter-school activities).

- Voucher 1 2025 expires on 31 December 2025.
- Voucher 2 2025 expires 14 July 2026.
