Bring your own device

The school uses a range of technologies to support teaching and learning. From dedicated computer rooms to labs with specialist facilities such as Computer Modelling, 3D printing, Circuit design and simulation to robotics and Graphic Design.  In addition students have individual computer access through the following programs:

  • The BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program at Tweed River High School is becoming the primary way in which students access technology to support their learning activities.  The link below sets out the students responsibilities for the care and use of technology at this school along with the minimum technical specifications required for a device to be adequate for school use.
  • In 2015, students in Years 11 & 12 will continue to have access to DER devices until that program is phased out in late 2016. Students in these years may choose to access the BYOD program now rather than using the DER device provided.

Wherever students use technology in the school whether their own of devices on loan from the school they must agree to and abide a range of conditions for the care and use of the devices in a school context..  These conditions are in place for the cyber safety of students and promote good cyber citizenship.
